About this notice

This California Notice at Collection (the "Notice") applies to California residents and supplements the Stubsmith Privacy Policy. To the extent there is a conflict between this Notice and the Privacy Policy regarding California residents, this Notice controls for those residents.

Stubsmith is a product of GridHome Group LLC ("GridHome Group," "GHG," "Stubsmith," "we," "us," or "our"), a New York limited liability company. This Notice applies to Stubsmith and the website at stubsmithapp.com.

Stubsmith is a browser-based tool for creating estimates, invoices, and receipts. Your estimates, invoices, receipts, client data, business profile, logos, signatures, line items, pricing, payment-link text, and document history are generally stored locally in your browser and are not automatically collected by GridHome Group.

If you choose to submit information through contact, waitlist, support, feedback, or optional AI-assisted features, that submitted information may be processed as described below.

Categories of personal information we collect

Depending on how you use Stubsmith, we may collect the following categories of personal information recognized under California law:

• Identifiers: name, email address, business name, phone number if provided, IP address, and device/browser identifiers.
• Internet or other electronic network activity information: browser type, device type, operating system, pages viewed, clicks, diagnostics, performance logs, and usage data.
• User-submitted content: contact messages, support requests, feedback, waitlist submissions, and optional AI-submitted text, audio, or other content.
• Commercial or business information: product interest, Pro waitlist interest, selected document type, settings and preferences, and payment-link text if provided by you.
• Geolocation-related information: approximate location derived from your IP address; address or location information only if you provide it or submit it through optional features.
• Inferences: limited product or feature suggestions only. We do not build advertising profiles about you.

Sensitive personal information

Stubsmith does not request sensitive personal information. You should not submit Social Security numbers, government IDs, financial account numbers, passwords, precise geolocation, health information, children's information, or other highly sensitive information into Stubsmith.

Stubsmith does not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

Purposes for collecting and using personal information

We use the categories of personal information above for the following business purposes:

• to operate, maintain, and improve Stubsmith;
• to provide estimate, invoice, and receipt generation features;
• to respond to support, privacy, feedback, and business requests;
• to provide optional AI-assisted features when you choose to use them;
• to maintain security and prevent abuse;
• to debug, troubleshoot, and monitor performance;
• to enforce our Terms of Service;
• to communicate about Stubsmith Pro or the waitlist where permitted;
• to comply with legal obligations.

Sale and sharing of personal information

GridHome Group does not sell personal information for monetary consideration.

Stubsmith does not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Stubsmith does not use advertising trackers.

If any future tracking, advertising, or analytics activity is treated as a "sale" or "sharing" under applicable law, GridHome Group will provide the required notice and an opt-out mechanism before or at the time that activity begins.

Retention of personal information

Local document data stays in your browser for as long as your browser keeps it.

Waitlist, contact, support, and feedback information is retained as reasonably needed to respond to you, operate the service, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations.

Technical, diagnostic, and security logs are retained as needed for security, debugging, service integrity, abuse prevention, and compliance.

AI-submitted content is retained only as needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, or improve the feature, unless otherwise required by law or by our providers' rules.

Your California privacy rights

Subject to applicable law and verification, California residents may have the right to:

• know and access the personal information we hold about you;
• request deletion of your personal information;
• request correction of inaccurate personal information;
• obtain a copy of your personal information, or portability, where applicable;
• opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, where applicable;
• limit the use of sensitive personal information, where applicable;
• not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.

You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, where permitted by law.
